During the visit, the Princess will follow the development work that DanChurchAid carries out in the country. Princess Marie will visit development projects in villages in the Bale Zone and will see how project staff and the locals there work with cultivation of soil, livestock breeding, health and nutrition.
 

The visit in Ethiopia will be Princess Marie’s second trip with DanChurchAid. The first trip took place in October 2012, when the Princess visited Cambodia. Princess Marie became the patron of DanChurchAid in 2011.

DanChurchAid has the objective of strengthening the world’s poorest people in their struggle for a dignified life, and it cooperates with church and national organizations as well as other collaborating partners. The organization carries out relief and development work in distressed areas and provides a long-term effort in Ethiopia in the form of practical aid and advice, which helps villagers themselves provide food and healthy nutrition.
