HM The Queen delivers the New Year Address every year on December 31st at 6 pm.

Traditionally, the address is broadcast live on TV and radio from The Queen’s office in Christian IX’s Palace at Amalienborg.
The New Year’s address has as an exeption been held from Fredensborg Palace in connection with renovation projects at Amalienborg.
On 1 January 1941, Christian X gave the first radio broadcasted New Year Speech.
