With inspiration from autumnal forest colours, the floral decorations in Frederik the 6th’s dessert set are arranged in light, green, yellow, orange and salmon-coloured shades. The tables for the State Banquet are decorated with leaves from the tulip tree and quinces from Fredensborg Palace together with salmon-coloured carnations, beautiful bright nerines and small-flowered statices. Yellow drumstick flowers are matched with asclepias tuberose - also called orange milkweed - bright viburnum, hypericum and large-headed, peach-coloured avalanche roses.

Her Majesty herself has helped to put the autumnal flowers together.
