During the luncheon, Dannebrog went on a sailing tour in Øresund, and when the Royal Yacht passed Holmen, from the deck, the guests could follow the execution of a salute from Holmen. The salute was led from the Royal Yacht. Dannebrog, which was built in 1931-1932, serves as the residence for The Queen and other members of the royal family when they go on summer cruises or on official visits abroad. The Royal Yacht also serves as a training ship for personnel from the Navy’s basic training school doing their compulsory military service. In addition, the Dannebrog takes part in ocean monitoring and sea rescue service when the ship is out to sea.
