In connection with the events on the birthday, there will be the following coverage opportunities for the news media:

Sunday, 15 October at 12:00: Changing of the guard at Amalienborg

• A marked-off area will be set up by the Equestrian Statue on the Palace Square for photographers and journalists holding media passes.  Access does not require accreditation.

Sunday, 15 October at 17:00: Gala dinner at Christiansborg Palace

• Pool 1 Guests arrive in Prince Jørgen’s Courtyard (photographers and journalists):
  200 young people from Denmark’s municipalities arrive at Prince Jørgen’s Courtyard during the time period of 16:00-16:20.
  It is not possible to cover other pools if you are accredited for Pool 1.
  
  
• Pool 2 Arrival at the Hall of the Halberdiers (photographers and journalists):
  All guests and The Royal Family arrive at the Hall of the Halberdiers during the time period of 15:50-16:55.
  
  
• Pool 3 Greeting line in the Velvet Room (photographers):
  The guests pay respects to The Royal Family.
  It is not possible to cover both Pool 3 and Pools 4A/B.
  
  
• Pool 4A Tour de table in the Great Hall (balcony – photographers and journalists):
  The guests arrive in the Great Hall, The Royal Family in procession and welcome speech.
  
  
• Pool 4B Tour de table in the Great Hall (floor - photographers):
  The guests arrive in the Great Hall, The Royal Family in procession and welcome speech.
  
  
• Pool 5A Speeches in the Great Hall (balcony - photographers):
  During the dinner, speeches will be delivered.
  
  
• Pool 5B Speeches in the Great Hall (floor - photographers):
  During the dinner, speeches will be delivered.

Meeting time for the news media is 15:00 by The Queen’s Gate, Prince Jørgen’s Courtyard, where there will be a security sweep by PET. Please note that photographers and journalists who are accredited for the balcony in the Great Hall must carry equipment with camera straps/safety straps.

Media desiring accreditation are asked to send an email with pool requests, name, media affiliation, title and contact information to The Royal House of Denmark’s Communications Department via email address kom@kongehuset.dk no later than 12:00 on Tuesday, 10 October 2023. Accredited members of the media will receive a direct message on Wednesday, 11 October 2023. Media ID must be brought along and displayed on the birthday.

Access to Christiansborg Palace is dependent on prior accreditation.
