Through her artistic efforts, The Queen has contributed to a good many public projects. In addition to the church textiles, The Queen has, among other things, designed an altarpiece for Skei Mountain Church in Norway, a Christmas spoon, and the annual Danish Christmas seals in 1970, 2003 and 2015, in addition to Greenland’s Christmas seal in 1983.
The Queen’s artwork has also been made available to a number of humanitarian organizations; profits from the sale of The Queen’s posters, lithographs and calendars have gone to important purposes. Several of the organizations are among The Queen’s patronages, such as The Danish Cancer Society, The Danish Multiple Sclerosis Society, and the organization Greenlandic Children/Kalaallit Meerartaat.
