The IOC Session is the committee’s annual general meeting, and features discussions on reports from all areas of the IOC’s activities. Furthermore, the London 2012 chairman, Lord Coe, speaks about the final preparations for The Olympic Games, new IOC members will be elected, and the members will vote on positions in the IOC Executive Board.

The IOC Session typically lasts 2-3 days and is being held at least once a year.

The 124th IOC Session was declared open at an opening ceremony at London’s Royal Opera House on Monday night.
