The P4G Summit on the days of 19-20 October 2018 is the first of its kind and has the objective of contributing to the realization of the UN’s Global Goals and the climate targets in the Paris Agreement. Representatives from 47 countries are taking part in the summit, which is focused on development of public-private partnerships whose areas of activity will remedy food waste, water shortage, plastic pollution and air pollution.

On the occasion of the summit, Her Majesty has extended invitations to a banquet in the Great Hall at Christiansborg Palace. The Crown Prince Couple, heads of state and government, ministers and leading businesspeople will participate. For the banquet, the guests will arrive at the Hall of the Halberdiers, after which they will take the King’s Stairway to the Velvet Room, where The Queen and the Crown Prince Couple will receive them.

After the presentation, the guests continue into the Great Hall, which is the largest of the Royal Representation Rooms at Christiansborg Palace. The space has an encircling gallery and the walls are decorated with sculptor Bjørn Nørgaard’s 17 tapestries, whose motifs come from 1000 years of Denmark’s history. Inset in the ceiling are Kræsten Iversen’s three large paintings that symbolize the legislative, executive and judicial powers.

In addition to the banquet, the Crown Prince Couple will participate in the P4G Award Ceremony, which takes place in DR Koncerthuset on the summit’s second day, Saturday, 20 October 2018. At the P4G Award Ceremony, the P4G partnerships receiving support and facilitation will be proclaimed along with the winner of the P4G Partnership Award. HRH The Crown Princess will give a speech and present the award to the winner. Prior to the ceremony, the Crown Prince Couple will participate in a luncheon.
