Program for the Crown Prince Couple’s visit in New York
Representatives of the UN’s member states are gathered for the 77th time for the annual opening of the UN’s General Assembly in New York. In this connection, the Crown Prince Couple on 22 September 2022 will take part in the international launch of Denmark’s candidacy for a seat on the UN Security Council in 2025-2026. During the stay in New York, the Crown Prince Couple will also participate in a number of arrangements and meetings with special focus on themes within the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the associated 17 global goals.

As patron of State of Green, The Crown Prince delivers a speech at the arrangement “Countdown to 2030: A new era for public-private climate action”, which focuses on how public-private partnerships can strengthen the green transition. The hosts of the arrangement are the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), the Danish Cleantech Hub, State of Green and the Confederation of Danish Industry.

The Crown Prince takes part in the annual ministerial meeting between the Nordic ministers and the foreign ministers of the eight member states of SICA (the Central American Integration System), which are Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic.
