Opening of the General Debate during the UN’s 77th General Assembly
The Crown Prince attends the opening of the UN’s 77th General Assembly at the UN headquarters, where, among other things, there will be speeches by UN Secretary-General António Guterres and the president of the UN’s 77th General Assembly.

“Sustainable Food: How Alternative Food Production & Consumption Can Combat Climate Change”
The Crown Prince attends the opening of the arrangement “Sustainable Food: How Alternative Food Production and Consumption Can Combat Climate Change” about sustainable production of food goods. In connection with the arrangement, The Crown Prince will be presented taste samples of sustainable food products. The arrangement is held by the Consulate General of Denmark in cooperation with Food Nation Danmark. The Crown Prince is the patron of Food Nation Danmark.

“Countdown to 2030: A new era for public-private climate action”
As patron of State of Green, The Crown Prince delivers a speech at the arrangement “Countdown to 2030: A new era for public-private climate action”, which focuses on how public-private partnerships can strengthen the green transition. The hosts of the arrangement are the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), the Danish Cleantech Hub, State of Green and the Confederation of Danish Industry.

Nordic ministerial meeting with the SICA member states
The Crown Prince takes part in the annual ministerial meeting between the Nordic ministers and the foreign ministers of the eight member states of SICA (the Central American Integration System), which are Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic.

Nordic ministerial meeting with the CARICOM member states
The Crown Prince participates in the annual ministerial meeting between Nordic ministers and the foreign ministers of the 15 member states of CARICOM (the Caribbean Community), which are Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Saint Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and Grenadines, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago.

“From billions to trillions. Mobilising trillions of dollars for the green transition towards 2030”
The Crown Prince gives a speech at the arrangement “From billions to trillions. Mobilising trillions of dollars for the green transition towards 2030”, which focuses on green investments. The arrangement is organized by the Consulate General of Denmark in cooperation with State of Green, PensionDanmark and PKA. The Crown Prince is the patron of State of Green.

“Countdown to CBD COP15: Landmark Leaders Event for a Nature Positive World”
The Crown Prince takes part in the arrangement “Countdown to CBD COP15: Landmark Leaders Event for a Nature Positive World”. The arrangement is a part of the run-up to the UN’s summit on biodiversity, The 15th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity, which takes place in Canada in December 2022.

The Crown Prince takes part in a morning run together with the UN ambassadors running club as a prelude to the launch reception for Denmark’s candidacy for the UN Security Council in 2025-2026.

“Global Plastics Treaty Business Coalition”
The Crown Princess participates in the WWF-World Wide Fund for Nature and Ellen MacArthur Foundation arrangement “Global Plastics Treaty Business Coalition” about mobilizing the business community to eliminate plastic pollution and microplastics on land and at sea.

Meeting with UNFPA’s executive director
The Crown Princess takes part in a meeting with the executive director of the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), Dr. Natalie Kanem, including discussion about UNFPA’s strategic plan for 2022-2025 and about the 30th anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) in 2024.

Rafael M. Salas Memorial Lecture: “The role of trade in improving the lives of girls and women”
As patron of the UNFPA, The Crown Princess attends the annual Salas Lecture in honor of UNFPA’s first executive director, Rafael Salas, in which WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iwela will give a speech titled “The role of trade in improving the lives of girls and women”.

The Crown Princess participate in the USA’s welcoming reception hosted by President Joseph Biden. The reception is held for heads of state and government in connection with the opening of the UN’s 77th General Assembly.

The Crown Princess receives a briefing from Denmark’s UN ambassador, Martin Bille Hermann, about Denmark’s candidacy for a seat on the UN Security Council in 2025-26.

The Crown Princess holds a meeting with Inger Andersen, the executive director of the UN’s environment program UNEP, about UNEP’s global work within the environmental and biodiversity agenda.

The Crown Princess takes part in an informal dialogue with gender equality experts from the USA, the EU and Denmark about the discussions in the UN dealing with the gender equality agenda.

UNGA Call to Action side event
The Crown Princess delivers a speech at the arrangement “How do we best respond to the disproportionate impact of rising food insecurity on women and girls?”, which is organized by Denmark and Nigeria together with a number of partners. The arrangement is held in connection with Danish leadership of the initiative Call To Action, in which member states, the UN and organizations work together to fight against gender-based violence in humanitarian crises, including the current global food crisis.
