Before the church service, The King and The Queen and The Royal Family rode from Marselisborg Palace through the city of Aarhus, where many Danes had lined up along the route to wave and celebrate the new King and Queen.

Aarhus Cathedral is Denmark’s longest church. The construction of the cathedral was begun in the 1100s in Romanesque style. Between the years 1450-1520, the church was expanded into a Gothic cathedral.
