After this, Queen Margrethe left the Council of State Room, and The King took the seat at the head of the table. HRH The Crown Prince, who as an adult heir to the throne has a permanent seat in the Council of State, took the seat to the right of The King. After the Council of State came the proclamation, when the new sovereign was proclaimed by the Prime Minister from the balcony of Christiansborg Palace.
