The Royal Family has a tradition of often visiting the Church of Our Lady and participating in religious ceremonies that are of national and international interest. Historically, there has been a strong connection to the Church of Our Lady, which provided its interior for all of the coronations of queens and kings from 1449 until 1648, while Christian the 4th was both christened and buried in the church. In more recent times, the Church of Our Lady has been the setting for the 25th jubilee of Christian the 10th’s accession to the throne in 1937 and, most recently, the Crown Prince Couple’s wedding in 2004.
