Press release: HM The Queen and HRH The Crown Princess receive HRH The Duchess of Cambridge

Her Majesty The Queen and Her Royal Highness The Crown Princess receive Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge in Christian IX’s Palace at Amalienborg on Wednesday, 23 February 2022 at 11:45.

After the reception, The Crown Princess will host a private luncheon for The Duchess in Frederik VIII’s Palace at Amalienborg. Following that, The Crown Princess and The Duchess will together visit a crisis shelter for women, where there will be a presentation of The Mary Foundation’s efforts for the approximately 2000 children who come to crisis shelters with their mothers each year.

The Duchess of Cambridge is on a working visit in Denmark the days of 22-23 February with The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, which The Duchess launched in 2021.

It will be possible to cover the reception during a short photo opportunity in the Great Hall of Christian IX’s Palace at Amalienborg. After the reception, The Crown Princess and The Duchess will walk to Frederik VIII’s Palace, and there will also be an opportunity for photographing The Crown Princess and The Duchess on Amalienborg Palace Square in this connection.

A request for accreditation for the reception in Christian IX’s Palace as well as the subsequent photo opportunity on Amalienborg Palace Square including name, media affiliation, title and contact information must be sent to kom@kongehuset.dk no later than 12:00, Friday, 18 February. Accredited members of the media will receive a message no later than 12:00, Tuesday, 22 February. Further information about the meeting time and place will follow. Please note that there will be limited space.
